The newer maps are much much easier for missions. Patience is key in some cases extreme patience when doing the missions. I have over 850 hours and completed all the Hirsch and Layton missions. I am sure you'll find tracks sooner or later and make sure to put a tent there so you can easily access it in the evening. So hunt more towards the evening and night there.

That canyon is full of pig, roe deer and fox but not much else. Remember that only a single buck usually spawns but sometimes can spawn in pairs but usually nothing more. The bucks will spawn on the west and east side of the lake in the canyon but like I said usually in the forest or up in the mountain on the east side. They will however sometimes spawn as a group on the edge of the canyon where the outpost is but then you have to call them into the canyon which is tough. Remember also Red Deer are active in the mornings and evenings mostly. Rarely will they cross in the day in that zone but that's not to say that they don't.

The big lake that is in the canyon will sometimes spawn a drink zone for a single buck but usually only in the evening usually from 17:30 till 21:30 from there they usually move into the forest ( west side) near the mountain to create a rest zone which I think is from 21:30 till like 5 am if I remember correctly. Most Red Deer that cross that canyon are bucks, rarely will a doe cross into there. The huge lake in the south is where I always see them and even got my diamond red.That Canyon mission is tough as there is usually only single Red Deer that cross this area, I will try to give a bit of help to help to complete it. 'Shoot 3 white tail in the area you've never seen a white tail'.Р”В«ut Fernando has more Red Deer than Hirsch. I'm not a conspiracy theorist to know that the missions mess with the population. Similarly, some missions are part of unlocking OPs, and a while back there was a mission bug and i think many had to go back and do missions over, or just lost everything, so does that mean that if yiou havent gone back to redo those missions that your game might be suffering complications as a result waiting for your finishing those parameters? I dont know how if that is something that is done to accomodate missions or not but io can see it being a problem in many ways if it is a part of writing mission codes into a game. do those rewrittn parameters just remain? What if the mission parameters alter the population in a mission area, and then bug causing the loss of that population to continue even after the mission is ended, and what if the person never finishes the mission of its gets broke.

I often wondered if the game rewrites its codes when you have a mission selected to make that mission a little more difficult, like not having any coyotes spawn within the mission boundaries, like in leviathan, or whitetails in cheelah for that night mission that had us all goin crazy. i wondered if broken mission parameters might be causing certain bugs and issues having affects on population and distribution. Many of us have had to rethink our maps and strategies in accordance.Р”Вude.i asked this mainly because i considered this to be a bug caused by a mission on the middle of the 3 lakes i mentioned.the mission with the wounded red deer,because i cannot remeber to see ANYTHING not even tracks at that lake since i started and finished this mission.And after i recognized the middle lake being emptyi looked at spots i usually had red deer and they are almost all empty.if other ppl have the same observation they mb shifted some of the animalpopulation to other regions(mb to introduce a new animal up there).I knew why i asked what i asked here.in the case of a possilbe missionbug there is nothing spawning at this middle lake until u finished the mission since u started it- as i said-i know why im asking.Р”Р‡unny you should mention this then because that is exactly something i had asked in another thread a few days ago. You will even come across some terrain that is actually reconfigured, which would instigate the repositioning and redistribution of animal s. That said, it sounds like you already knew that so i just want to point out that over the last year or so alot of changes have been made to maps resulting in many previous hotspots have been completely reconstructed and repositioned.
